Sublimation delivers the best results if the fabric is 100% polyester. The Gildan Softstyle t-shirt is 100% ring-spun cotton for solid colors. Antique colors and Sports Grey only have 10% polyester content in the fabric. And 50% polyester on Graphite Heather. These colors are suitable for sublimation. However, Dark Heather and Heather colors are made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, which is generally suitable for sublimation printing. We recommend testing it on a Heather color sample of the t-shirt.

Answer:The Softstyle fabric technology in the Gildan 64000 t-shirt features high-stitch density with ring-spun cotton and cotton-polyester blend fabric compositions. This makes the t-shirt very soft and offers an excellent printing surface.

Is the Gildan 64000 Softstyle tee 100% cotton?

Answer:Most of the color options are 100% ring-spun cotton. The “Antique” color range and Sports Grey are 90% cotton and 10% polyester. All Heather colors including Dark Heather except for Graphite Heather are made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton blend. Graphite Heather is a 50/50 cotton-polyester blend.

Can we rebrand the Gildan 64000 with a private label?

Answer:Yes. The Gildan 64000 or G640 has a tear-away label. You can rebrand it.

Does the Gildan 64000 fit true to size?

Answer:We got mixed opinions from our customers. Some of them found the Gildan Softstyle t-shirt true to size while others found it either slightly big for size or short in length. Most of our buyers found that it fits as expected, however. We suggest checking the size chart to match the garment’s measurements with the sizes required before placing bulk orders. The Softstyle t-shirt offers a modern, classic fit.

Are the Polyester-Cotton blend options of the Gildan Softstyle tee better than the 100% cotton ones?

Answer:That is subjective. If you prefer more durability, go for the colors with poly-cotton blend. The t-shirt will still offer a cotton-like feel, softness, and comfort. However, the 100% ring-spun cotton colors offer maximum comfort and breathability at the cost of durability that only a polyester blend can deliver.
